who remembers singing the sweet tune of "Tubthumping" and thinking "did i just say 'pissing the night away'?"

let us also thank Frankie Goes To Hollywood for reminding us to "relax, don't do it. when you wanna coooooooome"

and i KNOW you're lying if you don't admit to dancing the "Macarena" at your friend's bar mitzvah. thanks, Los Del Rio!

but you know who else is missing from this stellar list of one-hit wonders? the GRATEFUL DEAD, of course.

strange but true, "Touch of Grey" was the only commercial hit for the Grateful Dead, technically making this song parallel to "The Safety Dance" and "Mambo No. 5"

jerry garcia is like, soooo 1987.

but don't feel so bad guys, Wayne Janczik's book The Billboard Book of One-Hit Wonders defines a one-hit wonder as "an act that has won a position on Billboard's national, pop, Top 40 just once." He therefore includes such performers as Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix.
